Service University 2017 – AMAS edition
The professional training delivered annually to the Ferretti Group's worldwide dealer and service network recently came to a close with the American edition.
From 11 to 14 December 2017, about 30 technicians from specialist assistance centers in North and South America gathered together at the Renaissance Port Cruise Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, to participate in an intensive week of training courses.
It was the fourth edition such event organized directly on site so as to facilitate attendance by both technicians from various states and teachers based in the United States, as well as to be able to use the Group' yachts on display in its Fort Lauderdale showroom facility.
During the four days of training a succession of topics were addressed dealing with specific areas of technical expertise, with a focus on electrical systems, air conditioning, systems, navigation equipment, engines, on-board entertainment, propulsion and control systems, and stabilizers.
The courses were run by experienced professionals, including both representatives from the Group's Engineering departments and partner suppliers like NAVICO, NAVIOP, CONDARIA, CUMMINS, CONCORD, SEAKEEPER and TOP SYSTEMS. All the courses included a classroom-based theoretical introduction, alongside regular practical tests using demo systems especially set up for the purpose, followed by hands-on training sessions on board the yachts using the installed equipment.
In addition to the study sessions in the classroom and boatyard/on-board, there were also moments for relaxing and socializing, providing further opportunities for interaction between the service points, the trainers and the whole Ferretti team attending the event, in the belief that getting to know each other personally and positive interpersonal relations, alongside greater technical know-how, can help improve everyone's day-to-day work and thereby constantly enhance the quality of the service offered to our customers.
